TOWN OF HUME
NOVEMBER 13, 2008
A regular meeting of the Hume Town Board, Allegany County, New York was held at the Town of Hume Museum, 10842 Claybed Road, Hume, New York on November 13, 2008. Supervisor Craig E. Smith opened the meeting at 7:30 PM.
Officials
in attendance: Craig Smith, Supervisor: Council members Dennis Ricketts, Bryce
Bower, Daniel Miller; and Clerk Sondra MacEwan. Councilman Robert Beil was
absent.
Supervisor
Smith opened the Public Hearing concerning the application for a grant for the
Community Development Plan.
Only
one resident was present. Dave Myers expressed the opinion that the work of
compiling a community plan had been previously completed, and that further
expenditure for the same data was not needed.
After
brief discussion, Councilman Miller moved that the hearing be closed.
Councilman Bower seconded the motion. 4 ayes, 0 noes. Hearing closed at 8:02
PM.
A
motion was made by Daniel Miller, seconded by Dennis Ricketts to authorize the
Supervisor to sign, submit and execute a contract with the NYS Office of
Community Renewal for the following project:
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PLAN: To provide for the development of a
comprehensive plan for the Town of Hume, Allegany County, New York.
Through the Community
Planning Program the Supervisor is authorized to request New York State
funds not exceeding $25,000. The Town of Hume will provide matching
funds/in-kind not less than 40% of the total project cost.
